3D Shamrock with Literacy Connections

This craft is a great way to celebrate spring or Saint Patrick's Day while incorporating some writing and literacy! I think it is best for 1st - 3rd grade, but younger ones could do it as well with some assistance and adaptation.

Educational Applications

Students learn how to create a 3D shamrock while writing about their wishes. They will need to think sequentially to plan how they could achieve these wishes themselves as personal goals in their writing.

Fine motor skills will be practiced as they fold, trace the template, use scissors, and glue not only flat but also manage the final 3D element.

Easy Video Instruction

If you want to try this with your children or students, I have an easy to follow step-by-step video that guides them through the process. This frees you up to manage materials or supervise while you simply let instruction and learning happen!
